Sourcing and Utilizing Data for Hazard Mitigation Planning
This Planning Information Exchange (PIE) webinar will feature guidance from NOAA staff from the Office of Coastal Management on the effective use of tools developed for Digital Coast that have wide-ranging applications for improving mitigation planning outcomes on the ground. NOAA’s Digital Coast maintains a significant collection of data resources that are highly relevant to effective hazard mitigation planning. These resources include economic data, satellite imagery, advanced flood and inundation models, and a series of flood visualization and predictive tools intended to be highly relevant for local practitioners.
Learning Outcomes:
1) Discover tools that can assist planners, particularly those dealing with hazard mitigation.
